I tried to knit a simple cardigan from a pattern book of basic designs. The pattern had several mistakes and although I was using the correct gauge for the pattern and the finished measurements should have worked, it just didn't fit my body at all. I finished the back, two fronts, and almost all of the two sleeves, then proceeded to rip the whole thing out. I've since scrapped the pattern book.
So, I rummaged through my patterns and books looking for another project with which to use this yarn:
And I selected a Jill Vosburg pattern, Pacific Grove Pullover. I'm swatching this right now:
So far, I'm enjoying the mitered square technique. It's a favorite of mine. Another pattern of Jill Vosburg's was very successful for me before (twice, in fact) - the Ocean Lace Stole. I made one in blues for me and one for my mother in a soft pink angora handspun from the Stitches Market.
