Sweater frustration

I tried to knit a simple cardigan from a pattern book of basic designs.  The pattern had several mistakes and although I was using the correct gauge for the pattern and the finished measurements should have worked, it just didn't fit my body at all.  I finished the back, two fronts, and almost all of the two sleeves, then proceeded to rip the whole thing out.  I've since scrapped the pattern book.

So, I rummaged through my patterns and books looking for another project with which to use this yarn:

And I selected a Jill Vosburg pattern, Pacific Grove Pullover.  I'm swatching this right now:

So far, I'm enjoying the mitered square technique.  It's a favorite of mine.  Another pattern of Jill Vosburg's was very successful for me before (twice, in fact) - the Ocean Lace Stole.  I made one in blues for me and one for my mother in a soft pink angora handspun from the Stitches Market.

Back to my swatch!
