Sewing fun this summer

While I still have no sewing room set up (but it is a bit more unpacked than 11 months ago), I did do something fun with sewing this summer.  I taught 9 young ladies how to sew - they made a pillowcase, a pincushion, and converted a man's button up shirt into an apron.  They had fun, I had fun, the wonderful volunteer mother who helped had fun!!!

Next year, I am going to limit class size to 4 instead of 6, which really ended up being 7 in one class.  The other class was 2 ladies and that was a lot easier!  2 pupils per adult teacher seems like the best ratio so that they learn to sew in about 6 hours total.  Boy, can they be determined to learn and make something wonderful!
